Research Focus:

Penny Hall has worked with youth, parents and teachers in educational and civic organizations for over 20 years. She has developed various programs and activities for students ranging in age from elementary to college, as well as professional development programs for teachers. She has worked with educators to facilitate classroom curriculum activities, as well as with students and parents in informal education settings.

Penny's interest and commitment to science education led her to the Florida Solar Energy Center in 1997 where she took a position in the Academic Learning Technologies Department. She has assisted with FSEC's various educational programs, including development of classroom materials, facilitating teacher workshops, and coordinating student competitions. Penny has also developed several new programs, including the Hydrogen Sprint high school competition, the EPEC Award-a student energy and conservation project recognition event, and a high school photovoltaics curriculum unit. Currently she is developing a series of hydrogen units to be implemented in grades 3 through 12.
