Hector Rivera is President of Aireko Energy Group (AEG) and oversees company growth strategy, business development, sales, and product & services delivery.

AEG is a division of the Aireko Companies, specialized in engineering, procurement, and construction of distributed energy resources, and energy efficiency implementation. AEG provids turnkey solutions throughout Florida and the Southeast US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Mr. Rivera achieved a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with concentration in power and control systems from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.

Mr. Rivera has over 15 years of experience in the design, integration, and operation of distributed energy resources, including solar photovoltaic, combined heat and power, electric vehicles infrastructure, and energy storage, with particular focus on energy resilience and business continuity.

Mr. Rivera is a former advisor to the Puerto Rico Energy Center (PREC). PREC began in 2005 with the help of the Central-Eastern Technological Initiative, and in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy to create a resilient and sustainable energy future for the Central Eastern region and Puerto Rico.
