Brian is the Manager of Sustainability Projects for Publix Super Markets in their Environmental and Sustainability Programs department. Since joining Publix in 2003, Brian has been involved with many facets of the operation including retail, printing, and strategy. While at Publix, Brian has successfully implemented several large-scale projects and initiatives through their chain. His current role has him managing a team of project managers who focus on sustainable projects. Those projects are center around energy savings, water conservation, landfill diversion, responsibly sourced and plastics and packaging. His focus is on designing solutions that concentrate on sustainable practices that align with Publix’s mission statement as being “involved as responsible citizens in our communities.”

Brian sits on several internal steering and project teams responsible for researching, developing, and implementing sustainable alternatives using new technologies and business processes.
